There are so many things to see and do in the New Forest and as most people only visit for a short period of time, we thought we’d share a list of our favourite activities, things to see, and places to visit in the New Forest.

We have included a wide range of activities in the list, so there should be something for all ages and abilities.

National Motor Museum at Beaulieu

Set in one of the most stunning villages, and featuring the world famous national Motor Museum, palace house home of the Montagu family and Abbey Ruins, Beaulieu really does have something for all the family.

Exbury gardens

Created by Lionel de Rothschild in the 1920′s, Exbury is home to the world famous woodland gardens with its steam railway, offering 200-acres of natural beauty & horticultural variety.

Lepe Country Park

Lepe is a popular coastal country park in the New Forest National Park with stunning views across the Solent. With over a mile of beach, cliff top walks, grassy areas for picnics and games, and a children’s’ playground it’s a great place for a family day out.

Longdown Activity Farm

Fun on the farm for all ages whatever the weather, with hands-on activities every day – small animal handling, bottle-feeding calves and kids, duck feeding. Also includes a tearoom, and newly-opened farm shop.

Setley Ridge Vineyard

Setley Ridge Vineyard is a family run business that tries to balance the art of winemaking with a sense of fun. Taste some of the delicious wines on offer, and maybe treat yourself to a bottle or three! Group tours, corporate events and wedding functions amongst the vines are available.

Paulton’s Park

Paulton’s Park is a great family day out with over 50 different attractions and rides included in the price. From thrilling and gentle rides, dinosaurs, museums, animated shows, play areas, exotic birds and other fun activities for all ages in a garden setting.

Moor’s Valley Country Park

Enjoy a peaceful walk or cycle ride through the New Forest, experience a ride on an authentic narrow-gauge steam train, enjoy a round of golf on an excellent course, or even go on a high wire adventure swinging through the tree tops! Moor’s Valley Country Park offers another great day out for all the family.

New Forest Tour

Enjoy wonderful coast and forest scenery from an open top bus, hop on and off where you want and even take your bike with you. The tour and connects to the forest’s off road cycle and walks network as well as many other attractions and places of interest.
The tour calls at Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst (with its rail connections), Lymington (with its ferry to the Isle of Wight), Exbury, and the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu.
